Week 3 of the Weight Loss Challenge, and I continue my theme of how to surround yourself with Vastu techniques for success.

This week my focus is on good rest and sleep as part of your weight loss strategy, and how to set up your bedroom for success.

What surrounds us creates a relationship in our consciousness of positive or negative influences.  Our spaces and how we work with them can deeply affect our behaviors.

Our bedrooms are a place of rest and repose.  Without the proper rest, we cannot live and function fully and peacefully.

Bedroom Vastu techniques are quite helpful in achieving our lifestyle goals. Here are a few tips that can help you get a better night sleep.

  1. Place your headboard to the South. East and West are also acceptable, but, never North.

North is the direction of the magnetic North Pole, and can create a lot of stress on your head and consciousness.

  1. Place rose quartz crystals in your bedroom. Rose Quartz vibrates with healing and peaceful frequencies that will promote better rest and sleep. It is a heart centered stone that pacifies us emotionally.
  2. Ground your bed with a rectangular or square rug. By reinforcing your bed with a larger rug than the size of the bed itself, it will create a sense of stability for you as you rest.
  3. A wood bed is best because it is associated with the earth element. Metal beds conduct electrical impulses and vibrations, and can be very disturbing to your sleep quality.
  4. The master bedroom is best situated in the South West of a home due to its association with the earth element in this quadrant which creates stability and control of the household.
  5. Avoid clutter under the bed as we are unconsciously stimulated and weighed down by this. Of course, always avoid clutter anywhere in the environment as you are disturbing the energetics of the proper functionality of the room.
  6. Finally, electronics in the bedroom is always a bid NO, NO! If it must be there, then place TV’s, phones, Ipads in the Southeast or Northwest locations. These areas are associated with the elements of fire and air, and acceptable here.

When you begin to create a restful and inviting bedroom environment, you will be able to rest properly and that will help you function better in achieving all your daily activities. Life feels more fulfilling and harmonious.
