“WHAT YOU SURROUND YOURSELF WITH BECOMES YOUR REALITY.”-MDR

Week 6 of the Weight Loss Challenge, and I continue my theme of how to surround yourself with Vastu techniques for successful weight loss!

This week, I take us to the outside spaces of our home environments that surround us with nature, peace and harmony.

Where are these spaces you ask?

Decks, porches, sunrooms, balconies and stoops are very powerful spaces where we can receive positive energies on our mind-body complex, because they keep us in an atmosphere connected to the warmth of our homes, and yet expose us to the vastness of nature.

They are an extension of our homes that are truly connected to the great outdoors!

Sitting in these areas allows our consciousness to shift.  Our senses are affected on all levels.

The Vastu element of space is most powerful here. We can look up and around our home and neighborhoods. Looking up at the vastness of the sky, and at the earth elements such as trees, flowers and greenery creates stability. The visual of a brook or even the rain, as water elements  allow us to feel fluidity and flow more evenly within ourselves.

These outdoor spaces allow us to reflect on our goals. Perhaps journaling, reading or sitting with a cup of tea here creates the environment of healing, which ultimately leads to better, more fit and healthy living.

Of course, as described in my previous articles during this weight loss challenge. Elements are key to support our well-being, as it relates to our physical and mental health.

So, create the same Vastu setup in these outdoor natural spaces, and watch your weight and fitness improve easily and effortlessly.

Here are some quick refreshing tips for outdoor space Vastu:

  1. A water elemental feature like a fountain in the Northeast of the area will bring in fluidity of thought, and help you feel refreshed and healthy. Even reminding you to drink those extra ounces of water.
  2. A candle or salt lamp in the Southeast of this space creates a transformative fire quality for you to feel the heat and light of change and move towards it.
  3. Plants, herbs, and crystals in the Southwest connect us to the earth element, grounding and stabilizing our thoughts to help manifest our intentions around our weight loss goals.
  4. Incense, bells or feathers create movement. These air elements make you feel lighter and more harmonious with yourself, as well as with others in your environments. No more binge eating because you are aggravated, because these air elements move those feelings out quickly.
  5. Finally, keep these spaces clear. No clutter to block the space element that enhances clarity. So very critical in Vastu!

Go ahead…enjoy the great outdoors and still feel connected to home sweet home!
