Vastu is the ancient science of  architecture from India that uses our environments to support our living and working spaces. It is a more ancient form of Feng-Shui.

In this article, I will give you some quick Vastu tips that you can implement in your spaces to create an atmosphere of health and well-being.

With the coronavirus having such an impact on our lives these days, Vastu can bring guidance from an alternative perspective. Enlivening our homes with design that supports our consciousness, is key to living a healthy lifestyle, and aging gracefully.

Health and vitality is affected by the orientation of  two specific directions East and Southeast. East is the direction of the rising Sun which supports our health and uplifts our minds. In general, whenever the Sun is out we feel happier and healthier overall.

Per Vastu principles, placing a water elemental feature such as a fountain in the East, North, or Northeast directions will create a feeling and general sense of wellbeing, and support your mindframe by creating fluidity consciousness that promotes a prosperous outlook on life.

The Southeast is the direction of Venus and the element of fire is oriented in this direction in our psyche. Fire is representative of light and heat, and vitality, strength and passion are stimulated from these influences. I would suggest placing a Himalayan salt lamp or candles in this direction to stimulate these energies further.

These are simple Vastu principles that can begin to shift your health and wellbeing immediately.

What are you waiting for? Make 2021 the year you learn to incorporate a Vastu lifestyle into your home, and lead a happier healthier life!
